How patient voices can shape change

Your experience living with glaucoma is a form of expertise. Prevent Blindness’s upcoming webinar, “Investing in Lived Experience: Building Partnerships That Create Systems Change,” will explore how that knowledge can help shape eye health research, care, community programs, and policy.

The conversation will focus on what patients and communities need to participate as true partners—including training, resources, and ongoing support. A funder, researcher, and advocate living with vision loss will discuss how thoughtful partnerships can help patient voices guide decisions, strengthen advocacy, and create lasting improvements in eye health. 

For glaucoma patients and caregivers, this is a chance to learn why your perspective matters. Your experiences with treatment, access to care, and daily challenges can help organizations better understand what patients need and where change is needed.
